As part of its continuing commitment to serving the underprivileged, RECCA SEWA Charitable Society has decided to sponsor a meal every month at an orphanage or senior citizens’ home.

The initiative begins on 1 November 2026, with the sponsorship of lunch for the residents and staff of Home of Faith, Chittethukara, Kakkanad, an institution providing care and support to children with intellectual disabilities.

Following a recent visit to the institution, RECCA SEWA arranged to sponsor the meal, extending a small gesture of care and companionship to the residents.

This initiative reflects SEWA’s belief that service need not always involve large projects. Even a simple meal, shared with love and compassion, can bring comfort and happiness to those who need it most.

Through this monthly programme, RECCA SEWA hopes to reach more care homes and institutions, bringing together its members and well-wishers in the spirit of giving.

 It also offers SEWA members a meaningful opportunity to celebrate  their special occasions by sponsoring a meal and sharing their happiness with those who need care and affection.

A meal may be a small contribution, but the care and kindness behind it can make a meaningful difference.
