Onam 2025 SEWA: Bringing Comfort &Smiles to Aakashaparavakal

Onam is a time for joy, togetherness, and sharing. Like every year, RECCA SEWA Charitable Society decided to celebrate this Onam by reaching out to those who need us most , the residents of Threethwashramam Akashaparavakal Psycho,Social Home at Karakkurissi, Palakkad.

This institution is a psycho social home for the marginalized, run by Navachethana Service Society (Reg. No. 459/97) with the support of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Fathers. The home provides care, counseling, and compassion to its inmates, ensuring their mental stability, physical health, and dignity of life.

 The Need

During our discussions with the administration, they expressed a genuine requirement:
👉 5 Exhaust Fans with full wiring materials for the inmates’ rooms.

For the 5 rooms where the residents stay, proper ventilation was crucial to ensure their comfort, health, and well being.

 The Action

On 11th September 2025, our SEWA Executive Committee members visited the home and handed over:
✅ 5 Exhaust Fans
✅ All associated wiring materials

This contribution was not just about equipment, it was about improving the quality of life for the residents, making them feel cared for, respected, and remembered.

The Impact

The administration of Threethwashramam expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating:

“We are happy and grateful for your kind heart and support. You are making sure that our residents feel happy in this home, just like in their own home.”

For us at SEWA, the greatest reward was seeing the smiles on the faces of the inmates, smiles that lit up the rooms brighter than any fan or light ever could. 💙
