Warm Christmas greetings to all our members and well-wishers.
Christmas is a season that gently reminds us that the greatest joy comes not from receiving, but from giving   with love, compassion, and intention.

As part of the RECCA SEWA Christmas Charity Initiative  2025, we were blessed with the opportunity to extend a small yet meaningful gesture of care to St. Teresa’s Children’s Home, Ernakulam.

St. Teresa’s Children’s Home lovingly cares for around 38 girls, including orphans, children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and girls placed under their care due to unsafe or abusive guardianship.

The Home had reached out to us with a genuine request for support, as their existing refrigerator had broken down and was beyond economical repair. Recognizing how essential this basic facility is  ,  especially in a home caring for children ,   the Executive Committee unanimously decided to take this up as our Christmas project for the current  year.

Accordingly, a 250-litre LG refrigerator was procured from White Mart and donated to the Home on 22 December 2025, , just in time  for them to  celebrate Christmas

The refrigerator was delivered on behalf of RECCA SEWA Society byor EC Members  VP Padmaraj and Malcolm Oliver. As the gift was received, what truly touched our hearts were the smiles on the faces of the children and the Sisters ,   smiles that spoke of relief, gratitude, and the reassurance that they are remembered and cared for. Those moments quietly captured the very essence of Christmas.

The Sisters, along with the staff and students, expressed their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks for this thoughtful Christmas gift.

This initiative beautifully reflects the true spirit of Christmas   extending care where it is needed, offering dignity through support, and sharing joy in its simplest yet most meaningful form.
