We decided to spend balance amount received against Covid relief by donating a Microscope to General Hospital (Government Hospital  ) at Ernakulam . This  was discussed  thread bare  and    this  Government   hospital  was chosen for our community  support   measure for the following reasons 

1)This  is a   costly equipment  and  available only  in the Medical Colleges and Private  Clinics   generally not affordable by  poor

 2) Many of the buildings in the General Hospital  and the specialized equipment that they house, like CAT scan etc were donated by various agencies.  

 3) This hospital is reasonably well maintained and is served by a team of dedicated doctors

4) Since the General hospital caters mainly to the poor, donating a   high quality equipment  to this hospital  will ensure that  the poor patients get good healthcare  which  aligns  with the  objectives of SEWA

Based on our  specifications,  PO was placed on  Vendor “Fifty Plus Scientific Enterprise”   who qualified    at a  quoted price of Rs. 66670   The microscope was delivered to General Hospital on 15th March 2022. Sewa representatives officially  handed over the same  in a small function organised  for the same by the hospital in the last week of Mar 2022
