NITCCA USA And it’s member driven NITCAMP and SGMOC Philadelphia who had contributed in a big way asked us allocate the leftover funds for the flood relief this year . In the meanwhile we also received an appeal, which was being circulated to various chapters of NITC Alumni by students of NIT-C as shown herein for support to Flood affected near REC .Like Recca Sewa , they also had volunteers visiting the affected areas and distributing relief material directly, under the leadership of Dr Raghu of NITC akin to what Sewa had done last year
We took this opportunity to extend our services to this venture led by the Students Affairs Council ( SAC) and the faculty of NITC-( National Service Scheme cell -NITC ), so as to not only make the students aware of Recca Sewa, but also inculcate the habit of SEWA in them , as well as encourage them to join Recca Sewa in future..
So we decided to allocate the balance fund available with us, to this project in addition to the fresh donations being received from Sewa Members
On Twelfth August we procured the following items at discounted rates from the wholesale Big bazaar (valiangadi) of Calicut to be transported to NIT C for direct distribution to the affected .household.
